Here is an effect you can build for under $50! Performer invites volunteer to select a card from deck. It is then placed into a large suspicious looking wicker basket. Suddenly, without warning, the cards begin flying up and out of the basket but the selected card is not among them! The magician requests the volunteer to wave a magic wand over the basket and just as the assistant begins to approach the basket a six foot long spring snake jumps out with the selected card in it’s mouth!
