Through The Eye Of The Needle - FAB

This effect was originated by the late Edwin Hooper of England. A length of rope is displayed and it is tied around a volunteer from the audience. The ends of the rope are then strung through a giant 20” ‘needle’ and a handkerchief is securely tied onto the ends. The magician states “the assistant is going to be pulled through the eye of the needle!” – Using another volunteer from the audience who holds one end and the magician holds the other – the rope is pulled forward on the magician’s command and the rope is seen to penetrate the assistant and through the eye of the needle with handkerchief still attached! This is one of the effects that packs flat and plays big! Easy to do and lots of terrific comedy possibilities with this one!
